Who AM I?

I ask myself this question constantly. Just kidding. I know exactly who I am. I’ll tell you:

I’m a mother. I’m a wife. I’m a sister & a daughter. I’m a Pisces. Virgo rising. Moon in Cancer.

I’m a TV writer. Sometimes they call tv writers “showrunners” and sometimes we’re called “executive producers” and sometimes we’re called all of these things at once. I’ve been called all of those things at certain times, but not every time. I know it’s confusing, don’t worry about it.

My television credits include: Girls, Awkward, Brooklyn 9-9, Betty, and Portlandia— but only for like a week. I don’t care. Im including it here cuz this is my website.

I also co-created a show called LOVE. It’s on Netflix.

I do other kinds of writing as well. I’ve written for publications such as New York mags “The Strategist” which is something I really enjoyed (if you work at nymag and you’re reading this, hmu!) I got my start at Vice magazine in 2001 and wrote a column called “Dear Diary.” Eventually I wrote a book, which is a continuation of the column, also called “Dear Diary.” You can buy that book if you go to the link in the menu bar where it says “buy my other book.” I’ve written for a bunch of other places but I’m not gonna go down the whole list. If you’ve read thus far, you get the gist. (Wow that rhymes. I guess I’m also a poet).

I’m pretty short (5’2”) but I present as taller. I have brown hair and brown eyes. I love to make things. And paint things. And just use my hands a lot. I’m a terrible athlete but an incredible dancer. I have two dogs (Brixton & Mousse) and my favorite weather is warm & overcast. I am from Long Island, New York. Today I live in Los Angeles.
